What should I bring?

A clear packing checklist to help every pupil arrive comfortable, confident and ready for adventure.

Pupil kit list

Pack for every kind of day.

Use this checklist to prepare for an Ardmay residential. Please label all belongings clearly and check any additional guidance from your school.

Clothing

  • Warm layers — fleeces or jumpers
  • T-shirts and long-sleeved tops
  • Trousers or joggers — not jeans
  • Shorts
  • Warm hat and gloves
  • Plenty of socks and underwear
  • Waterproof jacket and trousers
  • Pyjamas

Footwear

  • Trainers or walking boots
  • A spare pair of trainers
  • Wellies, if requested by your school
  • Indoor shoes or slippers

Wash kit & bedding

  • Toothbrush and toothpaste
  • Soap or shower gel and shampoo
  • Two towels
  • Bedding is provided — please check with your school

Other essentials

  • Refillable water bottle
  • Any medication, clearly labelled
  • Small day bag or rucksack
  • Sun cream and sun hat — seasonal

Please leave at home

  • Valuables and large amounts of money
  • Energy drinks and sweets
  • Aerosols
Top tip: Pack together so pupils know what they have brought and where to find it.
